Introductions and lattes at Le Pain Bakery
Inga and I discussed what we called “celebration” of marriage photography. We ordered coffees– (latte for me) at Le Pain Bakery, in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. We made introductions and ordered lattes. Inga discussed the specifics about images she wanted to capture of herself with her husband, Chris.
At our meeting, Inga did not let me in on her baby secret. Inga’s goal was ensuring she had (pre-baby) photography. Inga knew everything would change with the baby’s arrival. This is a very smart woman! They will have these memories to celebrate their marriage to look back on and share with their future children.
And baby makes three…
On the morning of the session, Chris and Inga let me in on their baby news. It really brought home the importance of the photos. I photographed the adorable little shoes they had purchased together. Inga shared this photograph with her announcement to family. And baby makes three…
The photography session
Inga and Chris opted for a two-hour photography session in their walkable village of Shirlington, Virginia. Inga had scouted the area prior and knew where several nice backdrops were. The red wall Inga found was brilliant. Guapos outdoor seating was next to a busy road. Capturing both of them toasting next to a busy road was challenging. It was worth it the effort. I think the wait staff treated them extra special. There is a beautiful water fountain on the main road in Shirlington. The photography session was casual and fun. Chris and Inga were so happy together and easy to work with. They accepted me into their home. I know they will cherish these images for years to come.
